We're often asked about the best clothing and footwear to wear for your day out at Heatherton - so we'd thought we'd do a feature to help you out!

For some activities we have certain restrictions but please rest assured we're not trying to be awkward - we just want you to be as safe as possible and enjoy your day 😊

What should I wear for my day at Heatherton?

In general, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and sensible footwear that is flat and fully enclosed, to enable you to take part in all our activities - trainers are ideal.

If you are planning to wear your summer sandals, it's worth bringing trainers along to enable you to take part in all activities.

If you plan on taking part in any of our water activities, you may also wish to bring spare clothes!

Which activities have special clothing or footwear requirements?

The following activities have special requirements for your safety:

Dragon Slide - No open-toed or slip-off shoes such as flip flops, any type of sandals, crocs or heels. We also recommend long sleeves and trousers.

Tree Tops Trail - Wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions that you do not mind getting damaged. You'll need firmly attached footwear (ideally with some ankle support), so no open-toed or slip-off shoes such as flip flops, any type of sandals, crocs or heels. Long hair must be tied back and, for comfort, your waist covered (with any piercing removed or taped over). Please also ensure any jewellery is removed.

Junior and Senior Go Karts - No open-toed or slip-off shoes such as flip flops, any type of sandals, crocs or heels.
